David Wilson, Minister

David Wilson is the Minister of the Kings Church of Christ in Brooklyn, NY.  He has served in this position for eleven years, evidencing phenomenal growth in all areas.

Brother Wilson has been the husband of Cathi Lynn Johnson for more than 16 years.  From this union they have been blessed with three beautiful children: David, Dyahnah, and Dominic.

David’s education began at Southwestern Christian College.  He later attended Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts where he graduated with a B.A. in Bible.  His study in the Master’s Program was interrupted when he followed the call to full-time ministry.  Before leaving Oklahoma, David was ordained a minister of the Word at the Northeast Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Arnelious Crenshaw is the minister who ordained him.

David has a strong devotion for Expository Preaching.  He firmly believes that the thoughts and ideas of the text must be examined, exposed and exemplified with dutiful integrity and Christ-like compassion.  He has been blessed to speak in numerous lectureships, revivals, youth and Gospel meetings.  At present his teaching ministry “Expositions of Grace,” is expanding to local radio and television programs.

Through Minister Wilson’s visionary leadership Kings has developed a plan to multi-site his ministry.  By purchasing additional properties throughout Brooklyn, the church will be able to duplicate the ministry and benefit a number of communities simultaneously.

Brother Cedric Thomas has been Assistant Minister of the Kings Church of Christ since 2003. He is a native of Slaton, Texas were he lived most of his life.  Bro.  Thomas attended Harding University’s School of Biblical Studies where he completed two years of biblical study.  He completed the bible and ministry program at Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas.  He has completed his BA at Southern Christian University; and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity in Spiritual Leadership with Regions University.

Bro.  Thomas believes in the concept and the strength of teamwork.  He is extremely excited and empowered by the vision of the Kings Church of Christ and the impact that this vision will have on all inner-city ministries of the churches of Christ.  He is passionate about evangelism.  His study has lead to the conviction that evangelism is the developing of relationships that are strengthened through rapport; thereby enabling the revelation of God’s will into the life of the seeker, allowing Christ to be seen, taught, exposed, and exhibited.  As a result of these, we participate in the scheme of redemption, and the production of Christianity is manifested in the community that we serve.

His conviction is that he is married to the greatest woman on the face of this earth, Stephanie Thomas; and she has blessed him with three gorgeous girls: Nikki Faith, Cev’n Love, and Laura-Elizabeth Hope.
