Meet Our 2015 Scholarship Winners



Rmani Crawford
2015 Minister's Scholarship

A native of Rochester, NY, Rmani Crawford graduated with a B.A. in Rhetoric and Leadership from Pepperdine University.  He is currently enrolled in a joint degree program at his alma mater, pursuing both a J.D. and a Masters of Divinity.  He is an assistant preaching minister at the Camarillo Church of Christ and a worship minister at the University Church of Christ.

Carmen Caruthers
2015 Counseling Scholarship

Carmen Caruthers is a second year School Psychology doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as a member of the Carver Road Church of Christ in Winston-Salem, NC.  Her research interests include: autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, severe behavior assessment and treatment and access to early intervention services in minority communities.  She hopes to use her knowledge and skills she accumulates throughout her program to help churches and other organizations create accessible, welcoming environments for children and adolescents with behavioral challenges stemming from their disability. 

Tia Brown attends the Compton Avenue Church of Christ in Los Angeles, California.  In the spring 2017 semester she will be completing the end of her second year at San Jose State University as a psychology major.  She enjoys being of service within her congregation and community in anyway that she can.
